EarthBound’s pixelated punks come to life in this first set of ten1 limited edition Shark Punk figurines designed by Camille Young (a.k.a. Meeellla)!

  • Each is 100% handmade (everything from the paint to the packaging was handcrafted by Camille)
  • Each is individually numbered and carefully packaged so that it will look awesome even if you never take it out of the box
  • Each comes with a tiny, delicious-looking, highly toxic hamburger

Due to how rare the figurines are (and the considerable demand we’re already seeing) we’re going to sell these a little different2 than normal.

  • Half were sold via Lottery: We sold the first 5 figurines for $50 each. In order to ensure everyone had an equal shot at getting one, we made it a lottery-style system (which got about 250 entries over the course of a week). The drawing was broadcast live on May 3, you can see the results at the Fangamer USTREAM.
    • Please note that the lottery was for a chance to pay for a figurine, not to win one for free.
    • If any of the winners neglect to pay within 1 week of having their name drawn, a new name will be drawn.
  • Half were sold via Blind Auction: After the lottery ended, the remaining 5 figurines were sold in a blind auction where anyone could place a bid for whatever price they were willing to pay. The top 5 bidders won!

So if you’re not filthy rich, you’ve got a fair shot at a figurine. And if you are filthy rich, then you get a shot at simultaneously guaranteeing yourself a figurine while rewarding Camille for her awesome work! Even if you don’t get one this time, you’ll have more opportunities later—there may be another set(s) of black sharks released later this year with different items and accessories.

1 Camille originally hoped to make more, but due to how much time/effort each figurine requires, she’s only going to produce 10 at a time. No more figurines like these will ever be produced, but later this year Camille will be making similar figurines holding different items and different accessories. There’s also a possibility that, much later, she’ll produce the same figurine in a different color (green or blue instead of black). If/when this happens will depend on demand and how sick Camille is of making punks ;D

2 We decided to do it this way to satisfy as many people as possible while ensuring that Meeellla gets a fair price for her work. We didn’t want to just randomly throw these up for sale in the store since they would sell very quickly, putting people in other time zones at a disadvantage. We also didn’t want to force everyone to participate in the lottery, since some (many) people have been dying for a way to get a Meeellla figurine outside of a Funfest and this is the first time they’ve ever been publicly offered.
